This Privacy Policy describes how SmartAddress, Inc. collects, uses, shares, and protects information in connection with Giga Maps, including our websites, mobile applications, maps, address resolution tools, claimed-place features, saved places, address customization, Giga AI chat, subscriptions, and related services.

By using or accessing Giga Maps, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

Information We Collect

We may collect information you provide directly, information created through your use of Giga Maps, and information collected automatically from your device or browser.

• Name, email address, account identifiers, authentication method, and profile information.
• Address searches, AI Address queries, selected map coordinates, current-location coordinates if you allow location access, and resolved address results.
• Claimed places, claim type, claim timestamps, customized address words, saved places, favorite tags, locality lines, and related place metadata.
• Giga AI chat prompts, messages, generated responses and address suggestions, conversation identifiers, and place or claim context provided to a conversation.
• Subscription, entitlement, purchase, and restore status information, including information received from app stores or payment providers.
• IP address, browser type, device information, operating system, app version, URLs accessed, crash data, logs, diagnostics, and usage information.
• Messages, support requests, feedback, and other information you choose to submit.

How We Use Information

We use information to provide, operate, maintain, secure, and improve Giga Maps.

• Resolve places, coordinates, street addresses, and AI Addresses.
• Display maps, markers, claimed places, saved places, customized address identity, and directions options.
• Support account features, subscriptions, claim limits, personalization, customer support, and product communications.
• Provide Giga AI conversations, generate address suggestions, and maintain conversation context.
• Analyze usage, improve reliability, debug errors, prevent abuse, enforce our terms, and protect users and the service.
• Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.

Location Data

Giga Maps is built around real-world places. If you choose to use current-location features, your device may provide coordinates so we can resolve and display an address near you. You can also select coordinates manually by dropping a pin, searching for a place, or opening a saved or claimed place.

Claimed places and saved places may store coordinates and address metadata so those places can be displayed again later. You can control device-level location permissions through your operating system settings.

Public Place and Address Information

Some Giga Maps features are intentionally public or shareable. For example, if a place is claimed or its AI Address is customized, the customized address identity, claimed/customized status, and related place-level address information may be visible to other users when they resolve the same place. Your private account information, payment information, and user-specific saved-place metadata are not intended to be public through those address resolution features.

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in the following circumstances:

• With service providers and agents who help us provide hosting, authentication, analytics, payments, support, maps, storage, security, and other operational services.
• With AI model and inference providers that process prompts and related context to generate responses and suggestions for Giga AI features.
• With application partners or integration partners when a feature is provided with or through that partner.
• As part of a business transaction such as a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets.
• When we believe disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with law, enforce our agreements, prevent fraud or abuse, or protect the rights, property, or safety of SmartAddress, Inc., our users, or others.
• With your consent or at your direction.

Third-Party Services

Giga Maps may include third-party services and content, including Google Maps features and content. Google Maps features and content are subject to the Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.

Giga Maps may also link to third-party websites, applications, app stores, payment providers, or directions providers. We are not responsible for the privacy or security practices of third parties.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

We may use cookies, local storage, device identifiers, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, understand product usage, improve performance, and support analytics or advertising. You can manage cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work correctly if cookies are disabled.

Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide Giga Maps, fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, protect the service, and maintain appropriate business records.
